The
Three Musketeers takes place in France in the beginning of the 17th
century. The situation is
that the Cardinal Richelieu schemes to declare war between France and
Britain. Milady de Winter who
initially betrayed the The Three Musketeers assists Richelieu. Athos, Porthos and Aramis were part of
an elite group of men serving the king of France called the Musketeers. They were disbanded because of
Richelieu’s scheme. D’Artagnan, who was trained by his father a former
Musketeer, travels to Paris to become one. Upon arriving in Paris D’artagnan meets up with the former
Musketeers accidently and join together to stop the Cardinal Richelieu plans to
start a war. The turning point in the movie is when the Richelieu has the Queen’s
famous necklace stolen and is given to the Duke of England to make King of
France think that the Duke and Queen seem like they were having an affair. This
would spark a war between France and England. The Musketeers had to retrieve
the necklace before the King found out and start a war.
